Software libraries: "These files are all libraries that you can use to provide extra functionality to the programs you write. These are categorised by language, although in many cases they are usable in several different languages. In particular, C libraries can easily be used with C++, and Visual Basic components (VBXs) can easily be used with Delphi or C++.
